The Nomadic Palette – Mary-Jane Persson Art Studio

Welcome to The Nomadic Palette. By contacting us, enquiring about artworks, or making a purchase, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These are designed to ensure clarity, transparency and a positive experience for collectors of my art.

Enquiries and Purchases

All sales are managed personally by Mary-Jane Persson. At this time, there is no online shop; purchases, prints, or commissions are arranged via email enquiries. You are welcome to contact me at any time to discuss artworks, prints or commissions. All details regarding availability, pricing and delivery will be confirmed directly with you before purchase.

Commissions

For commissioned artworks, a 75% deposit is required upfront, with the remaining 25% due upon completion, prior to shipping. The timeline for completion depends on the complexity of the artwork and current booking schedule and will be discussed individually with you. This ensures each commission is given the careful attention and time it deserves.

Prints

All prints are made-to-order, specifically for each collector. There is no stock of prints. Production is typically completed within 3–5 working days, after which the artwork is prepared for shipping. For more details on shipping times, see Shipping paragraph below.

Zoom Studio Previews (Optional)

For originals and limited editions, you are welcome to request a private 15-minute Zoom session. During this session, I can show the artwork, discuss details, and answer any questions before purchase. This service is optional and available upon request to help you feel confident in your selection.

Returns and Refunds

All sales are final. Because I personally oversee every artwork and print before shipping, I guarantee it is in perfect condition when sent. Returns are only accepted in cases of damage during shipping where insurance has been purchased. Please review the artwork via the optional Zoom studio preview if you wish to confirm your selection before purchase.

Shipping

I use reputable international shipping companies to ensure safe delivery. Shipping times vary depending on your location and any customs processing. Production of prints is completed within 3–5 working days. Shipping costs depend on destination and will be confirmed at the time of order. Shipping times will vary depending on your location, but typically takes 1-3 weeks, depending on the destination. International shipping is available. You may request additional shipping insurance for peace of mind. This is available on request.

Intellectual Property and Copyright

All artworks, prints and videos produced by Mary-Jane Persson are protected by copyright and remain the intellectual property of the artist. You are welcome to share links to my website, YouTube videos, or social media and I greatly appreciate it when you do. Please note that sharing does not grant permission to copy, reproduce or claim these works as your own. This ensures the work remains protected while still allowing you to enjoy and promote it responsibly.

Disclaimer

Every effort is made to accurately represent artworks and prints online or in communications. However, slight variations may occur due to screen settings or the handmade nature of the work. While I take care to ensure the highest quality, I am not responsible for delays caused by third-party shipping companies.

Limitation of Liability

Mary-Jane Persson and The Nomadic Palette are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the purchase, use, or handling of artworks, prints, or commissions. Liability is limited to the replacement or repair of items damaged in transit, if shipping insurance has been purchased.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. By making a purchase or commission, you consent to the jurisdiction of South African law.
